DUBAI: American actress Amber Heard strutted during Paris Fashion Week, walking the catwalk during the Le Defile L’OrÃ©al Paris fashion show at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The “Aquaman” star joined fellow L’Oreal ambassadors, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and American-Cuban singer Camila Cabello, all wearing their finest outfits as they paraded the catwalk for publicize the brand’s training program, “Stand Up Against Street Harassment.”
For the occasion, L’OrÃ©al collaborated with iconic fashion houses such as Balmain, Elie Saab, Mugler and Issey Miyake to offer their ambassadors looks to show on stage.
Heard opted for a designer from our corner, turning heads in a plunging jumpsuit from Lebanese designer Elie Saab.
The pastel pink jumpsuit featured slit sleeves and dramatic feather detailing on the shoulders and was taken from the Beirut-born designer’s fall 2021 ready-to-wear show.
âIt feels good to be back on that podium with my L’Oreal sisters,â Heard wrote on Instagram, alongside a video of her parading the podium.
Dame Helen Mirren, Aja Naomi King, NoÃ©mie Lenoir, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Isabeli Fontana, who also walked the runway with an Elie Saab look, were other global stars to grace the catwalk.
The cosmetics brand also took the opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its famous slogan “Because you are worth it”.
Ahead of the Paris Fashion Week show, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, global president of the L’OrÃ©al Paris brand, said in a statement: and disrupting typical parade conventions by inviting the public to join the Stand Up Against Street program Harassment. Celebrating our feminine and feminist vision, the show will be a rallying cry for all women – and also men – who share these beliefs.
Meanwhile, Saab showcased its eponymous brand’s Spring 2022 ready-to-wear collection during Paris Fashion Week as a 12-minute video staged in the grounds of the Potocki Hotel in Paris, a former residence of the Polish nobility.
For spring 2022, the couturier unveiled a new monogram – oversized, interlocking tiny E’s for his first name – on pants, skirts and tailored dresses.
Lace summer dresses, shirt and shorts sets and bespoke sets made up the casual and sophisticated offering.
Of course, no Elie Saab collection is complete without formal attire. The most notable red carpet options included a red pleated dress and glittery midi dresses in midnight blue.
