Occupation: Certified Permaculture Designer, Artistic Director

Residence: Brunswick, MD
Fund: Antonette’s deep connection to nature began at a young age when she spent her days playing in the forest and climbing apple trees in her own garden. She is currently the artistic director and designer of a permaculture research farm in Middletown, Maryland, where she is often found drawing pictures, teaching in the food forest, or playing with chickens.
Antonette believes in a holistic design approach and strives to create landscapes that unite ecology with aesthetics to create beautiful natural systems that benefit all forms of life. She is happiest when she is barefoot in her garden, playing with her children, or teaching others how to implement systems designed by nature in their backyard.
She is a Certified Permaculture Designer, studied with Andrew Millison at Oregon State University, and a Fellow of the Permaculture Institute of North America. She helped implement sustainable education and certification for her hometown as President of Sustainable Brunswick.
