Artists: help the arts association celebrate

WELLSVILLE – The Allegany Arts Association is asking all artists to help celebrate its 40e anniversary.

The AAA was founded in 1982 by a group of artists and enthusiasts who wanted to see access to the arts in the county expanded. Over the past 40 years, the organization has strived to develop programming that provides arts activities for children through its free summer arts program and programming during the Christmas and winter holidays. . It also helps sponsor arts programs for adults. Over the past few months, he has offered sponsorships for arts programs, organized a poetry journal, and helped promote other arts programs in music and dance.

At the end of the month, he will hold an art exhibition at the David A. Howe Library from October 27 to November 27. 17e. All artists from the region are invited to participate in the event by exhibiting their work. All art forms, from ceramics to photography and sculpture, will be accepted at the discretion of the AAA.

The work will be exhibited from October 26e -Nov. 17e in the exhibition room of the David A. Howe Library. Instructions for submission requirements can also be found on the alleganyartsassociation.com website.

“We look forward to partnering with our local creators, the David A Howe Library, the Fountain Arts Center Orchestra Ensemble and Steps Dance Studio to make this exhibition a festive cultural event for all to enjoy,” said the president of the ‘AAA, Sheila Kalkbrenner.

There will be an opening reception from 5-7:30 p.m. on October 27 in the Library Exhibit Hall with refreshments and entertainment provided by Steps Dance Studio and the Fountain Arts Orchestra Ensemble. Other events are planned throughout the exhibition and will be announced as they are scheduled.
