McKoy’s lifelike bird sculptures have been exhibited nationwide to enthusiastic acclaim. His two large outdoor sculptures which are permanently installed at Swan Lake Iris Gardens are particularly well known to Sumterites. He discussed the influence of his Christian faith on his art and exhibited several small representative sculptures to illustrate how his art and faith evolved over the years.
After the program, members enjoyed refreshments prepared by the hostess committee chaired by Kay Fort. The co-chair was Sally Heath. The assistant committee members were Ginger Barwick, Betty Harvin, Betsy Humphries, Dotty Kolb, Jane Randle, Ann Shaw, Marian Shaw, Janice Stavrou and Mary Catharine Williams. A beautiful centerpiece of white calla lilies was provided by Dotty Kolb.
