Dover – The Rotarian Elves of Dover will visit the decorated houses of Dover on December 13-14, looking for winners in their second annual Dover Rotary Club Holiday Decorations competition. Scary Christmas at Dover Public Library with Jeff BÃ©langer
DOVER – “There will be spooky ghost stories and tales of Christmas glories from a long, long time ago at the Dover Public Library on Monday December 6 at 6:30 p.m. as Jeff Belanger brings back the legends, the monsters and the ghosts of the Christmas season with his presentation âCreepy Christmas.â From the origins of the holidays to monsters like Krampus, the Belsnickel and Gryla, BÃ©langer will present a multimedia journey both in person and as a virtual program. One of the main storytellers New England legend BÃ©langer is the award-winning and Emmy-nominated host, writer and producer of the New England Legends series on PBS and Amazon Prime, and has authored over a dozen books on the paranormal In addition, he hosts the popular weekly New England Legends podcast and is the series author and Ghost Adventures researcher on the Travel Channel.

Sharon Jones to perform holiday concert at Rye Library
RYE – Sharon Jones is a Seacoast audience favorite and has toured the country with her vocals and performances since graduating from Portsmouth High School. She and her band will perform standards and a special arrangement of holiday songs at the Rye Public Library on Wednesday, December 8, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Limited places will be available on a first come, first served basis for this performance. All programs are free and open to the public.
“Office hours with the director” at the Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge
NEWINGTON – Join Matt Hillman, Director of the Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge, on Wednesday, December 8 from 1pm to 2pm for an update on the past season and a look at 2022. There will be a brief presentation followed by a question -and -response session. Jingle Bell Extravaganza at the Children’s Museum
DOVER – Santa Claus is coming to the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire in Dover for a special event called the Jingle Bell Extravaganza, this special ticketed holiday event takes place on Sunday, December 12 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. 30, and will include play time in the museum’s exhibits, as well as a special reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s book The Polar Express (copyright 1985), before a socially distanced visit with Santa Claus outside on the museum’s play terrace. The mask is compulsory for anyone over 24 months of age when visiting the museum. Tickets for CMNH members cost $ 15 per person or $ 20 for non-members. Children under 12 months are free.
