film association vows to help senior artistic director Leeladhar Sawant of ‘Deewana’ and ‘100 Days’ | Hindi movie news

Laureate Dadasaheb Phalke, the wife of artistic director Leeladhar Sawant, Pushpa, recently came forward to reveal that her husband, who has had a 25-year career in the film industry, is currently struggling due to lack of work and of finances. Responding to his call, the Federation of Film Workers of West India came forward to help him.

Federation President BN Tiwari, when contacted, said: “FWICE is doing everything possible to help a senior colleague in our fraternity. We will approach actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and producer associations to help the family financially and with other needs that they need immediately. Our members will come to their homes to understand their needs and then work to help them. ”

Leeladhar Sawant has around 31 films to his credit, including ‘Deewana’ by Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ by Akshay Kumar, ‘100 Days’ by Madhuri Dixit, ‘Hatya’ by Govinda and many more. The art director who is not doing well these days lives in the Washim district of Maharashtra. A senior member of the artistic direction community said: “There are quite a few members of the association who have been out of work and the pandemic has made their situation worse.”

In her statement, Pushpa Sawant asked all the actors Leeladhar had worked with to help her. She also revealed that the senior film technician had had two bypass surgeries and had also suffered two brain hemorrhages in the past.
