Emerging artist Nicole Simmons shows two paintings for the Art Association of Harrisburg’s annual January exhibit

HARRISBURG, PA, UNITED STATES, Jan. 4, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ – Nicole Simmons, an emerging artist from Harrisburg, is one of many artists to be featured in the annual ‘Let’s Talk Figured’ of Art Association of Harrisburg.
Her paintings Everyday Stardom and “I ain’t bossy, I am the boss” were selected for submission based on their message of trust.
“I created these pieces to inspire my viewers to feel more confident about themselves and to embrace who they are in the most daring way possible,” says Simmons.
The Jury Show is an annual exhibit organized by the Art Association of Harrisburg and “celebrates the human form in all media.” The works exhibited are solely by members of the AAH.
The exhibition runs from January 14 to February 17. The opening will take place on Friday January 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
About the Artist: Emerging artist Nicole Simmons is originally from and currently resides in Harrisburg, PA.
Nicole started selling her work in 2020 and began exhibiting her work in 2021 both virtually and in person. In 2021, she exhibited with the members of the Art Association of Harrisburg exhibition “Figuratively Speaking” and the Gallery Walk in the fall. She also exhibited in the November group show for mini-art at the HIVE Artspace in York, PA.
Nicole gravitates towards bold colors and imagery in her work, especially when it comes to the female figure. His work mainly focuses on abstracts and portraits.
To date, Nicole has sold over 100 works of art and is currently represented by Farwell Gallery in McFarland, WI.
