Artistic Director Effie Kacopieros reunited with former CHE Proximity colleague Wez Hawes after joining Innocean as Creative Director.
Hawes and Kacopieros worked together at CHEP in 2020 before Hawes became Executive Creative Director of Innocean last November.
After a stint of almost two years at CHEP, Kacopieros joined Innocean to oversee the creative work of Kia Motors in addition to working on the agency’s non-automotive clients and working well with fellow Creative Director Dan O’Connell.
This appointment follows the hiring of 10 people in May as part of Innocean’s âmulti-channel, CX and integrated approachâ.
Hawes described Kacopieros as “one of the most talented art directors and conceptual thinkers I have ever worked with”.
âShe is passionate about her job and will undoubtedly elevate everything she touches at Innocean,â he said. âThis new leadership role that we have created for Effie gives her the flexibility and support to mature as a creative leader and influence the industry. The entire Innocean team is extremely lucky to have him in our ranks.
Prior to CHEP, Kacopieros worked at Yes Agency, Host / Havas and Joy Agency, working on campaigns for Samsung, Optus, American Express, Audi, Air New Zealand, Lion and Domestic Violence NSW.
Early in her career, Kacopieros was instrumental in creating a new category in Cannes with the idea of ââher team Cannes Lioness who started an industry-wide discussion on gender inequality. .
Commenting on his new role, Kacopieros said, âInnocean made the creative headlines. But they don’t just do world class work, they make a difference. The recent initiative of Jas (Bedir, CEO of Innocean), âFck the cupcakesâ defends equality and diversity in our industry.
âThis is an initiative that I am delighted to be a part of, an initiative that I believe will change the industry and have a ripple effect on other industries.
âI look forward to working with our clients and our team to create insightful, designed and memorable work. It is an exciting time to join the agency.
