Marathi art director Raju Sapte found dead in his home after videotaping man as harassment

Raju Apte suicide case: Marathi artistic director Raju Sapte committed suicide on Saturday after shooting a video a few minutes before his death. As reported by police, the artistic director of the TV show named the person allegedly responsible for his suicide in the video and mentioned that he was allegedly harassed by him over bogus payment issues. A by a report published in the press agency PTI, Wakad police filed a complaint against the union man who was named in the video of Sapte’s suicide. One case of incitement to suicide has been recorded as police continue to investigate.

Video police recovered after Sapte’s death showed him claiming he had been harassed by the union man who allegedly told other workers he had defaulted on certain payments. The art director added that he had started to lose work because of these false stories. “I have no contributions. I paid regularly. I have five projects and need to start working immediately. I cannot start any work. Recently I had to quit my only project for the same reason. To protest against this, I commit suicide today, ”Sapte said in the video.

A suicide note was also recovered by the police from Sapte’s house. Senior Inspector Vivek Mugalikar from Wakad Police Station confirmed the news and said: “We have recorded incitement to suicide. Further investigation is underway.

Raju Sapte was known for his work in films like Aiguillon d’Ambat and Manyaa-The Wonder Boy. That his soul rests in peace!
