new manager of River Arts | Boothbay Registry

River Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of a new gallery owner, Amy Appell. With a varied background in her job primarily in the field of education, Appell brings skills that will be invaluable in her new management role. In addition to teaching, she ran her own business and blog where she developed her office and computer skills.

Appell studied elementary education and psychology at Central Connecticut State University and Charlotte Mason College in England. She also continued her education with graduate courses at the University of Massachusetts. While living abroad, Appell continued his strong appreciation of the arts by visiting numerous art museums in Western Europe.

Discussing his enthusiasm for his new position at River Arts, Appell said: “On my first visit to the River Arts Gallery last summer, I was blown away by the diversity of mediums on display. Since then, I recognize her as a gallery gem. Needless to say, I’m thrilled to be River Arts’ newest gallery owner. My goal is to inspire everyone to visit, to see the variety and be inspired!
