Summary of position

Secretly Group is looking for a talented Art Director with a keen and creative eye, as well as experience in leading record production and branding campaigns at a record label. You will help create the visual universes of our artists, from conceptualizing and designing artwork to assisting in commissioning and creating other media and working with a global team of designers and network growing number of creatives. Whether it’s working side-by-side with a band on an LP package or the label’s marketing department on OOH campaigns, experiential events, music videos and other media, it’s work that will pay off so much. know-how as interdisciplinary collaboration.

This position may be based in our Brooklyn NY, Los Angeles, CA, London, Chicago, IL or Bloomington, IN offices.

The ideal candidate must …
  • Be a creative thinker with a keen interest in the visual arts and music.
  • Have more than 5 years of experience in graphic design, including in a record label and / or with experience in designing album recordings for production.
  • Possess in-depth skills with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as printing and production processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, effectively manage workload and communicate well within a large organization
  • Understand the printing processes and preparation of files for printing and have an in-depth knowledge of design for web and digital platforms.
  • Experience working in a creative environment with several speakers, musicians, managers and various personalities.
  • Be a good communicator and adept at communicating and conveying visual ideas in meetings and through presentations, decks, etc.
  • Be as comfortable bringing creative ideas to the table as they collaborate and facilitate the creative ambitions of others
  • Additional skill sets including photography, film production and editing, illustration, web design, 3D design, or other skills are a bonus.
  • Be someone creative and interested in the brand’s catalogs.
  • Be interested in upcoming musical and technological format trends to find new opportunities to market music and visuals.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the art direction and design of full album creative campaigns including LP / CD covers and branding throughout the life of album releases.
  • Lead and advise on commissioning photographs, videos and other visuals with the Creative Director and A&R.
  • Manage strict deadlines, especially in a production and printing capacity
  • Work with the in-house design team to create assets for the marketing and promotion of each release, including social media, motion graphics, posters, displays, print and digital ads.
  • Work on label-wide visual branding and other new initiatives.
  • Collaborate, solicit and manage external creations.
