Artist Jeannine Savedra will present a demonstration and talk on “A Pictorial Approach to Landscape” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22 at the Redlands Art Association Gallery.
The program is free and open to the public.
Savedra is a studio artist and plein air painter who enjoys exploring the outdoors, according to her website.
She received formal art training at the Otis Art Institute, Parsons School of Design, and Cal State Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Studio Art in drawing and painting. She also earned a master’s degree and certification to teach art.
In 1995, she began teaching at the Visual Arts and Design Academy in Pasadena as a studio art instructor and as an art teacher for the South Pasadena High School Summer Arts Program. She was also an adjunct faculty member at Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles from 2003 to 2015.
For the past 20 years, she has worked as a restoration artist in Pasadena, assisting in the restoration of artwork for private art collectors, art dealers, artist estates and museums.
She is now part of the art faculty of the Creative Arts Group of Sierra Madre and teaches in her studio.
