Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has welcomed Sonny Adorjan back to the agency as Senior Art Director.
Returning from the UK, Adorjan joins Clemenger BBDO Melbourne after 17 years in the UK, including 12 years at the AMV BBDO London office.
During his time at AMV BBDO, he was head of labor for Guinness, The Economist and Pepsi. He has also spent time at Mother London and BBC Creative on accounts including The Times, The RAF, Money Supermarket, Sky and BBC Children In Need.
Throughout his career, Adorjan’s work has been recognized at many major award ceremonies, including Cannes and D&AD.
In 2020, Adorjan released Woodism, an artistic collaboration with his autistic son Woody, winning two pencils, including the D&AD Side Hustle pencil. Five Woodism pieces have been added to the permanent collection of the V&A Museum in London.
This year, Adorjan will be a judge at D&AD on the Side Hustle jury.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Executive Creative Director Ryan Fitzgerald said: “Great talent and even greater human. Sonny brings a wealth of local and global creative experience with work that has had an impact far beyond advertising boundaries. We couldn’t be happier to have him back in the building.
Adorjan added: “I started my career at Clemenger Melbourne and learned from the best in the country which helped me a lot when I was working in London. Over the years I have always followed Clemenger’s progress and felt proud to see the world class work they continue to produce. I’m really happy to return to such a prestigious agency and look forward to working with Jim, Ryan, Rich and the whole team.
