Thor from God of War Ragnarok fully revealed by art director

After God of War Ragnarok was revealed on PlayStation Showcase, art director Raf Grassetti shared a first image of Thor’s character model.

After the reveal of PlayStation Showcase gameplay for God of War Ragnarök, Raf Grassetti, artistic director of Santa Monica Studio, released the first full image of Thor. The PS5 God of the war The gameplay wrapped up Sony’s 40-minute event, giving fans over three minutes of footage.

There’s a lot to glean from the trailer as well. On the one hand, Atreus has grown significantly since we last saw it in 2018. God of the war adventure. And, needless to say, he remains more determined than ever to learn more about his heritage and the world around him. Kratos doesn’t seem so impatient, however, expressing a desire to keep a low profile and avoid a potential war with the surviving Norse Gods. But the father and son duo will undoubtedly find themselves in a mess, especially as Ragnarok, who heralds the end of the world, gets closer based on the events of the trailer. Throwing God of Thunder Thor into the mix will further complicate matters.

After the close of PlayStation Showcase, with God of War Ragnarok acting as dart, artistic director of Santa Monica Studio Raf Grassetti posted an image of Thor’s version of the game on Twitter. A burly man with unruly red hair, by Ragnarok Thor has more in common with the traditional Norse representation. Thus, he is nothing like the hero played by Chris Hemsworth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This should come as no surprise, however; during some of his storytelling sequences in God of War (2018), Mimir referred to the god of thunder as “big rat. “Like many gods before him, if he comes to blows with Kratos, Thor will likely give Spartan a run for his money.

Since Grassetti posted the image, there has been an online discussion about the character design. Some expected a construction more in line with that of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and does not hesitate to express it. Meanwhile, others continue to note that The god of war the representation seems to align closely with its mythological description.

Of course, the real test of this that of Thor might not be seen until the sequel hits store shelves. And when that will actually happen remains a mystery. Despite releasing a lengthy gameplay trailer, Sony and Santa Monica Studio have yet to set a date God of War Ragnarok.
